Privacy Policy
Working draft — last updated 26 August 2026
Scope and contact
. Do not send passport details, payment information, medical records or booking references.
Information processed when you visit
Like most websites, the hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp and security logs. This is used to deliver the site, maintain security, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
Optional browser analytics is currently disabled during the editorial and consent review. The hosting infrastructure may still retain technical logs needed for delivery, security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis.
Local storage and cookies
The current public site does not use a newsletter form, comment system or contact form, and advertising scripts are disabled during the editorial review. The site does not currently need non-essential advertising cookies to provide its public pages. Your browser or the hosting infrastructure may still use strictly necessary storage for security or delivery.
If advertising or optional measurement technology is enabled in future, this policy and the consent interface must be updated first. Where UK, EEA or Swiss consent rules apply, non-essential advertising storage will not be enabled until a valid choice has been collected through an appropriate consent platform.
External services and links
Fonts may be delivered by Google Fonts and images may be delivered through a content-delivery network. Those providers receive the technical information needed to return the requested file. Articles may link to cruise-line websites so readers can verify current information. When you follow an external link, the destination operates under its own privacy policy.
Contact by email
If you email us, we receive the address, message and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond, handle corrections or privacy requests, and retain it only as long as reasonably needed for that purpose or a legal requirement. We do not sell email addresses or operate a newsletter through this site at present.
Advertising and affiliate tracking
Google AdSense advertising is currently disabled. The site contains an AdSense account verification meta tag and an ads.txt record, but these do not by themselves place advertising cookies or display ads. Some pages now contain clearly labelled affiliate links, including links to Viator. A booking through an affiliate link may generate a commission at no extra cost to you. External providers control their own cookies, privacy notices and transactions.
Legal bases and rights
Depending on the context, processing may be necessary to provide the website, respond to a request, comply with law, or pursue legitimate interests such as security and site improvement. Where consent is required, it will be requested separately and can be withdrawn.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. To make a request, email . We may need reasonable information to verify identity before acting on a request.
Children
The site is intended for adults planning travel and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information.
Changes
This policy will be updated when the site's actual data practices change. The date at the top will be revised when a substantive update is made.
