How Cruise Advisor researches, reviews and corrects content

Cruise Advisor is a research and comparison publication. We use official information, a consistent comparison framework and a documented editorial check. We do not present invented journeys, qualifications, tests or audience figures as evidence.

Automation disclosure

Software and generative AI may assist with topic organisation, outlines, first-draft prose and consistency checks. Automation is not treated as a source. The restored legacy library is undergoing an ongoing deterministic claim cleanup and topic-consolidation programme. Readers should use cited operator links to verify changing facts; new drafts are not automatically treated as evidence merely because they have been generated.

The publication process

What we compare

A comparison can consider fare structure, likely extras, cabin categories, dining, entertainment, accessibility information, family facilities, departure convenience and itinerary fit. The relevant criteria vary with the question; we do not use a fabricated universal score.

Editorial conclusions are labelled as judgements and explain which type of traveller is likely to prefer each option.

Sources and dates

We prefer cruise-line ship pages, published terms, accessibility guidance, destination authorities and other primary material. Prices, promotions, itineraries and policies can change; readers are directed to verify these details before making a financial commitment.

Publication and update dates describe the archive record. They should not be read as a guarantee that every changing price, policy or itinerary remains current; the relevant operator remains the source of truth.

Commercial independence

Affiliate links are clearly labelled and do not alter the comparison criteria or editorial conclusion. Cruise Advisor may earn a commission from a qualifying booking, but does not accept payment for a favourable review.

Direct links to cruise-line websites in guides are provided primarily so readers can verify current information.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, identify the page and the specific statement. We will check the source and correct, qualify or consolidate the guide as appropriate.
